My name is Beeb Ashcroft, and I’m a long-time journalist and “Sweeper”. I began blogging in 2008 as a way to parlay my 16 years of journalism experience into the social media realm, founding the popular blog Contest Corner to share knowledge on my hobby. The biggest prize I’ve ever won was a $10,000 check in 2009!

British Giveaways was founded as a companion site especially for UK readers, as I’ve noticed a lack of resources for contest enthusiasts living outside of the United States. A London-born expat current residing the US, I immigrated to America in 1989 and head home to visit as often as possible. I currently make my home in a Seaside coastal town with my American fiancé, Jai, and in my spare time I enjoy music, travelling, and trying to find a decent cup of tea.
